Thanx Hans, wot a truly fantastis plugin, looks complicated to start with but it isnt. lots of ways to tweak and get a truly awesome sound, it made my old amp thats almost had it sound great, and that was after bit of fiddeling, imagine how good it will sound when ive work out how to use stereo tool to its best, WOW, Thanx Again - July 20, 2010 by ABsMonkey Derrick
Brilliant - This is not as complicated as it looks and all the setings can be done using the presets, which work really well,I'm using an amp and stereo speakers in my den, which gives me great sound with 100watt power.I use the "very soft" compression preset most of the time but some of the other presets work great.I dont know why this plugin is not used by everyone??? - October 22, 2008 by Norman Dittberner
good - This is a good plugin , the sound with last version v3.27 on the website of stereotool is good .There is a registred version for loudness who is a bit expensive 30euros. - August 21, 2008 by sebastien wittebolle
Very Effective - This is a useful tool if you like to tweak up aspects of your audio playback. There is noticable lag in responce, which is basically due to the plugin trying to catchup with the playback and buffer up the data. Recommend this if you want to tweak your audio further than whats given with Winamp's onboard EQ. Used with Klipsch 2.1 system. - July 19, 2008 by Michael Greigh
Great Tool! - This audio tool is great, even if you don't like using compression, it still has other settings that may come in handy. One major downside, Stereo Tool still doesn't support multichannel processing. I use ffdshow and ATSurround and I come across glitches when I enable true surround processing. - May 1, 2008 by Shawn Khameneh
Stereo Tool offers controls and visual feedback for the stereo stage. It features ultra precise controls of input gain and individual pan for left and right channels. A phase inverter is available for each channel. A global stereo pan and a stereo width setting are also implemented to complete the management of the stereo signal.
I was able to fully do it by finding an old program again that I used to use all the time called "Monomaker" by Destroy FX. I find that to be very, very helpful in checking out how all those "wonderful" stereo efx will sound when people listen to them on their single speaker devices like their smart phones or portable speakers-eg. will the entire instrument just disappear?
Stereo tool is a software-based audio processor which offers outstanding audio quality and comes with many unique features. It is used by over 1500 FM stations ranging from small local stations to 50-100 kW stations and nation-wide networks with dozens of transmitters, thousands of streaming stations and many DAB+, HD, AM and TV stations. It can be used for both live and file based processing.
Moreover, it can repair 'broken' stereo images, which often occur on cassette tapes, vinyl, and cheap CDs, which normally cause havoc when playing it on a mono system, headphones, or a system that includes a stereo widener.
Designed for stage use, the Key-Largo allows you to connect up to three stereo keyboards, effects and volume pedals, and a laptop computer via USB, managing all these signals to send a balanced audio feed to a PA system for a seamless performance on stage. Three stereo analog inputs feature individual volume controls to balance levels, and each can be sent to a shared effects loop to add reverb or delay in an instant using a dedicated footswitch. A USB connection allows laptop computers to be integrated into the setup for control of soft-synths, and a built-in sustain footswitch and connections for a stereo volume pedal provide additional ways to control your performance.
The Key-Largo effortlessly mixes multiple keyboard outputs down to a stereo feed for the PA system over XLRs. Add more excitement to the performance with a switchable effects loop and master volume pedal.
"Key Largo is a well-thought-out, flexible and high-quality tool for the performing/recording keyboard/synth musician that, besides the lack of headphone monitoring, fills the DAW interface slot on top of integrating a multi-instrument setup."
Soniformer is a spectral mastering dynamics processor AAX, AudioUnit, and VST plugin for professional music production applications. During its operation, Soniformer splits incoming sound signal into multiple spectral bands. This makes Soniformer a powerful and precise tool for mastering and sound restoration purposes.
With algorithms specifically designed for transparency, SKYE Dynamics delivers exceptionally low levels of distortion and saturation. SKYE Dynamics also features an advanced adaptive auto release and a selection of 5 envelope presets for each processor, making it a standout tool for mixing and mastering music.
Sound Tools was bundled with Sound Designer II software, which was, at this time, a simple mono or stereo audio editor running on Mac SE or Mac II; digital audio acquisition from DAT was also possible.[26] A two-channel digital interface (DAT-I/O) with AES/EBU and S/PDIF connections was made available later in 1989, while the Pro I/O interface came out in 1990 with 18-bit converters.[1]
In 1993, Josh Rosen, Mats Myrberg and John Dalton, the OSC's engineers who developed Deck, split from Digidesign to focus on releasing lower-cost multi-track software that would run on computers with no additional hardware. This software was known as Session (for stereo-only audio cards) and Session 8 (for multichannel audio interfaces) and was selling for US$399.[36][28]
The virtual mixer shows controls and components of all tracks, including inserts, sends, input and output assignments, automation read/write controls, panning, solo/mute buttons, arm record buttons, the volume fader, the level meter, and the track name. It also can show additional controls for the inserted virtual instrument, mic preamp gain, HEAT settings, and the EQ curve of supported plug-ins.[90] Each track inputs and outputs can have different channel depths: mono, stereo, multichannel (LCR, LCRS, Quad, 5.0/5.1, 6.0/6.1, 7.0/7.1); Dolby Atmos and Ambisonics formats are also available for mixing.[91]
Both the Standard and Premium Editions include the Remix tool based on deep learning. Remix can split a complete mix in up to five stems, and you can adjust the stem levels independently in real-time. You can also import a complete mix into a multitrack session and let Acoustica create separate tracks for each stem automatically.
The new spectral editing mode in Acoustica Premium Edition 7 allows precise restoration work since processing can be limited to isolated regions in time and frequency. Selection tools such as brush, freehand or magic wand are available. The retouch tool removes noise based on a freely selectable reference from the surrounding audio.
High quality processing tools ranging from a new suite of dynamic processing tools to EQ and effects like reverb and chorus are integrated along with sample rate conversion, time stretching and pitch shifting. You can create chains of audio processors and apply or store them for later use. A powerful batch processor is included and VST, VST3 and AU (Mac only) plug-ins are supported.
Integrated audio restoration tools help you get the most out of recordings impaired by background noise, clicks, crackle, clipping or missing high frequency content. The Premium Edition includes the plug-ins from our Restoration Suite and Extract:Dialogue.
Interface we've gone perhaps a little overboard with. There's really no grand consensus on how you want to interact with an EQ, so we made it fully configurable. Graphs, knobs, keyboards, textboxes, tooltips, the whole gamut is in there, and can be arranged to suit you. The degree of UI reconfiguration is so extreme we've built a setup wizard, which must be a first for an EQ.
Routing is interesting too. There are scant few fully surround-capable EQs, and it seemed silly not to support routing flexibility to its fullest. For stereo usage there's the simple familiar M/S or L/R configuration, but for surround there's full channel grouping support. We've added per-channel metering, with gains, phase, solo/mute and linkage, so you have half a mixer in there too.
