While the standard ways of saving in Kingdom Come: Deliverance are a pain, there's a save mod for the game which lets you manually save through the main menu system. Head over to the ModdB page for the specific saving mod, and then click on the 'files' tab to begin downloading the saving mod. Once it's downloaded, simply boot up Kingdom Come again, and you'll be able to save manually within the menu system.

There is one thing about the save system I do dislike, but that is not to say it upsets me. Like many open world RPGs, the save files can be rather large as information on the state of the entire world must be saved. On its own, that is fine and part of the genre, but considering no old saves are removed (except the Schnapps saves, as you have a limited number of slots for them) this adds up. Try some 1.16 GB of save files between the 205 files, and they do not compress for any benefit. Good on Warhorse, the developers, for having the saves already compressed but can we have the game auto-delete some old ones? One of the patches for the game added Steam Cloud Save support and I quickly turned that off because I do not need these saves synced and unless it is only uploading the most recent, I do not want them being uploaded.
Since I am talking about time, I guess it makes sense to say how long it took me to finish the game. According to the save files, I spent 66.8 hours playing, but according to Steam I spent 84 hours playing. Considering time was likely lost whenever I reloaded due to a crash, death, or desire to do something better, and that Steam does not always keep time very well or accurately, I probably spent somewhere between those two numbers. There are still many side missions to do, so that time-played value can go up a fair amount, and even more if I wanted to focus on leveling up some skills.
Before jumping in, it's important to note that you can work around the Robber Baron bug by saving the game before reporting back to Sir Hanush. According to this Kingdom Come: Deliverance Reddit thread, it's only the save files after the quest that are affected. You may want to wait to complete the quest until the bug is fixed or save prior to speaking with Hanush so you can refer back to that file if you experience any problems.
4. Save games capped at 300: Try to clear out some old save games and then try back. It has reported there is max 300 saves the game allows after that it might give you the error. Go in: \Users\USERNAME\Saved Games and open Kingdom Come Deliverance folder. You will find saves folder here. Copy the entire files from this some other location and delete a few from it. Launch the game and test the save.
Transferring your save files from your PS4 to your shiny new PS5 will allow you to play any of your PS5 compatible games. You'll also be able to continue playing on the save files if you want to.
This page explains how to data from the PlayStation 4 to the PlayStation 5, including exactly what kind of data you can actually transfer and Cloud Storage, which is currently the only way to transfer save files between different PS5 consoles.
Your PS4 must be turned on and using the same network as your PS5. If you're planning on transferring a large amount of save files, then it's also a good idea to connect the two consoles together using a LAN connection, because this should speed up the process.
If you're doing the save files transfer during the initial setup, then you'll receive a prompt during this process. If you're doing it afterwards, then you can find this feature by heading to the Setting menu, selecting the option 'System' and, finally, selecting 'Data transfer.'
When transferring a game save from the PS4 to the PS5, it's important to remember that whether this save is compatible with the PS5 version of the same game is a developer decision. This means you may be unable to play a specific game's PS4 save file if the developer decided to not make those files compatible with the PS5 and, instead, you'll have to start a new game.
Of course, this is far from the headline change in the patch notes -- most of which focus on general stability. Saving is improved, with a new feature for players to "Save and Exit" -- a seemingly commonplace feature for most open-world games. On top of that, save files will be corrupted much less frequently following a crash.
